Hello people, here I am, back, after a long break. There is a need and I’m going to start off with something casual and interesting to look at.

This is an illustration of a D.C character, Batman.

Here are the 10 reasons why it is a realistic picture

1) A photorealistic representation of Batman that also falls under Veristic Surrealism as it uses realistic codes/images to create a make-believe reality.

2) The subject is a man who is drawn proportionally with his torso and other muscles group clearly shown through the costume.

3) The costume he wore carries a symbol, which is commonly identified as batman, across the chest. The colour of the costume is also faithfully followed. Undeniably the subject is batman.

4) The materials of the costume are also realistically represented. The darker shade appears to be satin or leather while the lighter material seems to be cotton or lycra.

5) Viewers can also make out the different components and equipments from his utility belt.

6) With his right hand, he is holding a metallic object that resembles a batarang.

7) On the batarang, there are some red stain which suggests blood. This provides a greater sense of realism and also offers deeper insights of who Batman really is.

8) His pose and facial expression demonstrates anguish and stress.

9) The bats at the top left hand corner of the picture are presented accurately and proportionally. They are flying from a distance.

10)The clouds and the cityscape behind him are also realistically drawn to create a make-believe reality.
