Today is a sleepy Sunday.

Hai~ I had insomnia yesterday night.

I don't know why, I kept waking up at every 1 hour interval.

yawn~

Then I woke up at 7:30am and cannot sleep anymore cos the sun was up.
I washed up, watched TV, attempted to play Dota (see the addiction kicking in, especially after 2 games the night before using N'aix the Lifestealer. I kind of like it a lot.) Attempted to play because I thought it would be too early to play. Going to do something useful in the morning.

So I had my breakfast. Menu is random. Just grab and eat so I had some chocolate from Australia which my brother bought, some biscuits, dumplings, lychee (good for anti-cancer) more biscuits and tea. What a breakfast. Got to check my diet. I'm getting fat. HaHa

After that I showered. It is a habit. Got to start with a fresh attitude by washing all the filth away. Read the book entitled "fear of the Lord" and now back at computer to do my blogging and stuff. And ya Dota. I'm going to try another character I think. Probably going to finish my book today then go for swim? run? hmm...
What a Sunday.

I have not been blogging for a while.
simply because I'm busy.
I'm constantly having a date with 'dota'
I think I'm going through an experience called 'addiction'
Addiction to computer LAN gaming.
This growing desire to play, to win and to conquer.
It is almost everyday I would spend about 1 hr with my best friend Kardel Sharpeye, the Dwarven Sniper. Finding out more about him, his strength and weakness. Equipping him with item. I actually searched the Internet for comments and advices.

Unimaginable Unspeakable Unbelievable

Where are all the nice teacher?
They are all gone.
All thanks to the students.
All students love nice teachers but the same phenomenon always exists.
Nice teachers are always get bullied.
So what do you expect the nice teachers to do?
Be nice, continue to be bullied and then fail to teach in class?
or turn nasty because it seems to be the only way to control the students,
turn them into mindless slave,
force them to study
and make the whole lesson so boring!!!
Whatever it is, it is your choice.
If you want to have the nice teacher, play nice.

I'm so blessed.
My birthday celebration for this year had finally ended ( i think because my birthday celebration will usually last from 2 weeks to a month)
But I'm contented. In fact I'm very happy.
This year's birthday is indeed surprisingly different.
Where should I start....

Probably I should start with class 1T1 who sang me a very early birthday song during the first lesson. They probably sang 1 week in advance because they got the date wrong. So funnily cute right? HaHa

Then I celebrated my birthday with the usher ministry. I celebrated it with Emily. Another usher leader born in May. So I bought her a T-shirt and likewise she bought me the same. It was great. Huge birthday cakes and birthday wishes.

On Sunday, my cellgroup celebrated my birthday in Sentosa with some of my students from 1E4. (aiya because of this, I'm 'blamed' again for being biased. sorry lah the rest of the classes, I'll call you next time if I go Sentosa again. I promise) It was supposed to be a surprise celebration but some students let the cat out of the bag and I caught the cat! Ha Ha. Then Jeffrey had to smash the cake onto my face and with my eyes wide open. For the first time in my life, my eye balls also get to eat the cake. Oily. (You can read Phavdy's blog for more details of what we did in Sentosa.) Pity Xavier is not there. It would have been fun if he was there.

I had a mini celebration with Toh Alvin at Jurong Point Bakerzin. It was good. We had set meals and desserts. I had my favourite Warm Chocolate and he had his "i dunno what it called" but the tagline for that dessert is "diet starts tomorrow". Needless to say, our desserts are very sinful! We saw Alvin's sister and she thought I was his classmate!! HaHa

I went to church on Tuesday and it was good.

Wednesday I continued with my post-birthday celebration. Class 1E3 sang birthday songs for me. So nice. Benedict and Hui Tong got me a fabulous book entitled 'fear of the lord'. After school, I arranged to play dota with Alvin and Yixin and WeiHao. Then Yixin last minute want to play from home. Ok fine! Then in the end it was only Alvin, WeiHao and me. Dominic came and joined us. It was great. I learned how to use snipper and beastmaster. Going to master some more!! FIRSTBLOOD!!!

Finally I had an expensive but good dinner with my bestest best friend Eric. We went to Nanbantei at Far East Plaza. We had grilled stuff and cold sake! We felt like we were really in Japan. Then My bestest best friend got me the best birthday gift. A Sony Ericsson W595 handphone! How cool is that! Cheers to great health.

I went for cellgroup today and just when I thought it was over, Dorcas gave me a Pedro voucher. 50 bucks! Cool. Shopping time. But I've just bought a pair of Bata leather shoes le. Maybe can wait for a while then buy bah. Yeah! I also received a letter from Norman. SO touched!

Finally, I want to thank God for everything. For this birthday has been the greatest yet so far and I believe it will get better and better.
For this year, I've received 45 birthday smses.
More than 30 birthday tags on facebook.
and a lot of tag on my blog.

Thank you all of you who have gave me your blessings and well wishes.
Hope all of you are blessed and will be blessed even more.

Lastly I want to leave you guys with my favourite birthday sms of the year.
It is from danette.
It goes, " Happy birthday old boy..... ..... really irritating you know, you seems to be getting younger and younger each year!"

What else can I say, I prayed that I'll look 18 everyday!
All glory to God

This is a DISC model of personality which was first introduced by Harvard psychologist William Marston in 1928. This DISC model examines the motivations for people's behavior along 4 unique dimensions or traits. It is good to know which tendency is predominant in any person is the key to understanding personality.

Dominant
D-people are direct and assertive. They think independently, are ambitious and take a quick and active approach to solving problems. They have a strong need to achieve and try to maintain a measure of authority and control over the environment in which they live and work. Other people find them determined and strong willed as D-people like to have things done their way.

Interpersonal
I-people are entertaining and social. They like to participate in groups and rely on their social skills as the primary means for getting things done. Highly extroverted, these people are considered by others to be friendly and outgoing. They have a consistent urge to meet and talk with other people. I-people are often considered to be emotional because they readily express their feelings and are generally more comfortable with emotions than others.

Steady
S-people are persistent and patient. They take a measured, stable approach to life and don't like surprises. They are accommodating and undemanding, often showing intense loyalty to those around them. S-people place a high value on sincerity; they habitually tell the truth and expect others to do the same. People tend to see them as deliberate and consistent in their approach to life, which can lead to the label of being predictable. S-people possess an unusual level of persistence and can maintain their focus and interest in something longer than most others can.

Conscientious
C-people are interested in precision and accuracy. They like structure and details and they focus intensely on the facts. They regard tradition and etiquette as highly important and will extend great effort to support them. C-people tend to use a systematic approach to their activities and will insist on the use of rules in order to manage or control their environments. They understated and indirect in approaching conflict and may postpone taking action until it is absolutely necessary. This can lead others to see them as passive and compliant.

So quickly get the book, take the test and find out the real you.
Can you guess who I am?

OUTRAGEOUS!!!
A serious act infringement under the code of conduct act under the examination clause
"Thou shall not talk in class"
A
ll are now under my jurisdiction
awaiting for the possibly worst kind of castigation
unimaginable in my entire educational career
No longer will there be grace, no longer will there be mercy
For you cease to become The privilege
Flee you filth, imps of the society
Beg for mercy or taste the wrath of my iniquity

this poem is specially dedicated to my beloved 2T1. i hope you should find this insightful.
Of course all are true except for line 8
I still love you guys!!!!!

Here is a book that I've read recently.
I think this is simple, easy to read, yet fabulous book.
All of you should get hold of this book.

Quotes from the book:-

You can't decide if you are going to be a leader.
You can only decide if you will become the type of person others want to follow

Bad things happen to everyone.
It's how we respond to them that determines what kind of people we will become
and what level of influence we will have.

persuasion is like hunting while influence is like fishing

rule 1 - live a life of undivided integrity
logic + passion + ethics

rule 2 - always demonstrate a positive attitude
speak life into people and situation

rule 3 - consider other's interests as more important than your own
if you want to develop lasting relationship, you have to be interesting.
Nobody wants to hang out with a bore.
But even more important than being interesting is being interested.

rule 4 - don't settle for anything less than excellence
do you best!!!

Wah I took Pinde's bike to an usher function yesterday at 8pm.
We travelled from Jurong West to Ang Mo Kio via the highway.
It was mind-blowing, simply awesome.
But i probably won't do it again. Ha

p/s: thank you guys for being so unity and sporty. for without such teamspirit, we would not have gotten the best performance award for our musical drama. let us come together to give our best for the ministry. amen!!

my first time
my first time yesterday with the some boys of 2T1 ( edmund, babian, wen hao, kok hwee)
we went to watch a football match at jurong west stadium. it was a match between gombak fc and geyland fc. ya yeah beep beep. game starts then ends, gombak 3 geyland 1. dun ask me when or who scored the goal. i was not paying attention. i was talking to the boys especially to kok hwee like most of the times. talking and teasing and sharing experiences. it was good. i like the crowd and like the cheerleaders. too bad they were doing the flip thing like those u see in american football. oh ya shaun called. he too was watching the match but from his block, with a binoculars. smart guy. i would do the same if i were him.

match ended, we walked to a nearby bus stop, talking about spiritual encounter. took a bus and go home. that's when i saw again for my first time someone wanting to jump down from his block. the situation was tense and there were a lot of people gathering below. the scdf people were doing their best to help the people. the police were guarding the people. i stood there and watched, wondering what was going on in his mind. i waited for 5 min. nothing happened. it seemed like he was not sure if he was going jump. i guessed he would not, so i walked away.

what a day!!

my students are funny....( in the i dunno what they are thinking sense)
for some funny reasons, they like to shake my hands
i wonder why...
not that my hand has some special anointing that can help them pass their exam;
or that they might feel 'love' from shaking it?
Sometimes i wonder if it is the 'in' thing for students now to shake hands and then challenge, followed by either a cold stare or a hard squeeze.
hmm.. whatever it is.
it is now definitely not a good time to have too much physical contact.
Afterall, we are fighting now a possibility of a 'swine' flu infection now.
After these whole episode, we can hold each others' hands and dance.

(p/s: Azieana shyly wants me to blog how cute she is. but you know what, i think she is)

Surrendered Your life Upon that cross
Great is the love
