to discuss and to produce a presentation with a model on the theme: wind

my take on wind
wind is an invisible element that caresses the environment, like our hands on silk, as it flirts with those who are in contact, leaving them hungry for her touch and presence

concept: embracing the forces of nature: wind
we cannot harness wind. we do not have the means and power to do so. with technology, it seems that we might have reached to the level on par with nature or even higher. unfortunately, this is a lie, an illusion. we are bluffed by the false reality that we have the capability to forcefully manipulate everything to our advantages. although man has succeeded in ‘manufacturing’ wind, the wind is never the same as what nature has provided. most often than not, these ‘manufactured’ winds are more harmful than beneficial.

appreciation of wind comes with respect. the respect for nature and the respect for what she can provide. in fact it requires less complicated machinery. we need to wait. it requires a process of mingling and asking. this process asked for a clear mind that is not burdened by the complicatedness of the world.





the depth of thanks determines the depth of belief

we can thank Him for everything because miracles happen everyday in our lives
do not just give thanks for big things but also small things such as breathing, walking and eating.
giving thanks is to agree that whatever grace we have received are from God, who is the Father of light.

today i have found the church that i will attend weekly.
never mind the distance. (more than 2 hr journey)
never mind when the whole service is in korean.
when i reached there, i know there is where i am meant to be.

i will be attending korean service at saemmul community church.

a river that seperates the commercial sector from the humble neighbourhood.

stop screaming 'only God knows and understands me and He will accept me for who i am.' for indeed He has saved you regardless of who you are. now that you are a born again christian, you are supposed to live by His standard which are all stated clearly in the bible.

1) trust in God no matter what happen
2) humble yourself to serve
3) give more than you take
4) love your neighbour as how you love yourself
5) be the sheep and not the goat
6) be a disciple of Christ
7) testify God in everything you do, that include showing people the bright side of you even when you are tired, down and depressed because you have no right to affect other's with your problems (selfishness)

we are at war and we are soldier of Christ.
PRAY for the power from the Holy Spirit - for faith, love and peace in Jesus' name. Amen

Mary's A Devine Revelation of Hell
i've read this before the book Heaven is So Real and i've found it tangible. it is so detailed that it gives the goosebumps.

if the Lord decided that i read these two books in two months, july and august, for FREE. i do not have to wait for others to convince me that He is coming back soon. in another 10 years perhaps?

our dinner: stir-fried cabbage with fish cake, cucumber with egg, and luncheon meat with onion. kelvin commented that it is good, even the rice is sweeter than usual. i think about it and i know it has to be due to the fact that it is prepared by Lord through me. a simple dish, yes it is but simply marvelous! thank you.





"Some will never change their hearts to become pure, and they will never be blessed"

yes it is true that our heart can never be as pure as Jesus, however does that means that we will never be blessed? certainly not!

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathise with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (hebrew 4:15-16)

we need to make the decision to change. the moment we declare to our Lord our desire to be pure, He will come forth and cleanse us with the blood of Jesus. then in God's eye, we will be pure children who are fit to be blessed and to enter His kingdom.

thank you Lord for your love so great that it overshadows any fault that remains within us.
like how king david has put it in psalm 103:9-10: " He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities*."

i ask God to help a friend. i ask Him, "is there anything i can do to help Her?" He answered, "NO. I will handle Her. LEAVE HER!" this is the third time this year i was called to leave her after she denied Him straight in my face despite the things He had done for her.

it did not make any sense initially but after today, i think i get the idea.
i got the idea not because i know what His plan was but because it is never my duty to ponder about His thoughts.
it is never our duty to decipher Him but to obey. so here i declare i will leave from your life totally until further instruction from God. all i could do now is to pray and hope that one day you will see the light. good bye friend for i still love you.

the day i chatted with Him

it was an afternoon and i was in the studio working, doing the models and all of the sudden, i found myself talking to Him. He has come. for about half an hour we have chatted. i will try in my best capacity to shared with you what we have discuss. some of the sensitive information have been taken out. God bless.

God: Yes, I am here, my son.

father i want to be obedient and close to you, father sorry i have sin against you, will you forgive me?

(it is quite comforting to hear from God personally from Him that He forgives us.)

father how long will i have to struggle with my weakness and temptation?

( at this time, i have this urge to question if He is God because in the bible, we are told to question every spirit that speaks to us. but deep inside me, i know is Him.)

how do i know in future whether is you or whether i am talking with myself again. (because i know fully sometimes i do talk to myself. questioning and answering my own question. the answer God gave is a heart warming one.)

(wow! He has been talking to me even before i know about Him!! so we chatted, I asked about other stuffs regarding friends and some scripture. Oh ya, at some point of time, I could recall all the korean phrases which I had menorised. wow, with Him nothing is impossible.)

tonight you will sleep at 12am sharp and during dinner time, leave the room to pray. pray only in the spirit because I know what you want (to pray) and the Holy spirit will do the intercession prayer for you.

(i am overwhelmed, He knows our prayers!)

God, i always fall asleep for 1-2 min during praying but i recover quickly after that, is it alright?

No, do not sleep when you are praying, move around, shout, do what you must but do not fall asleep!

oh it is time for me to go. oh yes, you can stop your 3 day/week fast. you only need to do it once a week

6pm, after work. i leave my office, still remembering what God has told me. the first person i will see when the lift door opens is an old lady. the lift reached my level, i went in with much anticipation and at the same time, uncertainty. a lot of what if. what if there is no old lady, what if that voice is not from God. the lift door opens and there was no one in sight. i was there, mumbling to myself as i leave the lift, " aiya no old lady one lah, how is it possible to have old ......!"

i was pleasantly surprised, shocked actually. a motorcycle stop by the entrance of the lobby and the cyclist removed her helmet to reveal to me, an old lady. usually at this time, a young chap will do his delievery but today, an old lady came instead. God, what else can i say but You are amazing!!

so this means that everything that took place just now is real. this means that He did hear my cries during my prayer. this also means that i, by the power of God, will reach Singapore at a height of 186cm.

thank you God for your visitation, thank you for your miracles. this will be one of the greatest testimonies. let them see for themselves your greatness and awe in your power.

Amen.

all in the day's work

morning: prepare lunchbox with ting ting. sort of feel like a dad to her. haha

afternoon: doing my mock model for the dormitory design. sigh. when will it ever end. took a pic of my desk before leaving studio. noticed the korean logo? i drew it but it was coloured by a friend, also my korean teacher who speak little english, bome yi. she insisted that south korea to be coloured blue in colour and went around hunting for a working blue marker. me, got scolded when i passed her a purple marker. ha

dinner: seafood spaghetti and potato salad by shuyi with ting ting. i did not cook dinner, went out to buy a korean workbook, and danette's envelope. time to let the girls take over the kitchen.

this was taken outside seoul world cup stadium on the eve of korean 60th independence day. i wonder what is going on in his mind when he is sitting there. if he was a singaporean, i guess his reaction will be, " sian leh! eve of independence day and i am here on duty because some activists have nothing to do. go home and sleep lah!" unfortunately this is not singapore and peace is something not taken for granted. riot and war can strike anywhere and at any moment. i guess what he is really hoping for is the day when north korea and south korea can be united under one order. so that peace can be obtained and the country stabilised. let's pray for peaceful unification of korea.

otherwise it would not be there for us to visit
comment: golden, elaborated, peaceful and empty...
i wonder what is their view on the purpose of the creation of our life.........
the concept of leading a simple life is a complex one!

greatness in service

i like to serve, i love serving people. i love to make them coffee, prepare them food, wash up for them, prepare document etc. i do not know why but i find pleasure in doing so. i believe i must have gotten it from my mum.

according to the bible, the greatest leader is he who serve. in the bible. Jesus is the greatest, yet he said in mark 10:45 "for even the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many".

so i supposed my mother is a great mother, because she serve. for her 3 children, she slaved all day long, taking up part time job and finishing her housework everytime she comes back, yet without complain. (actually there are times she is erm... angry but who is perfect.) she is also a great wife, she serves my father. what a wonderful woman. here, i want to declare, i love her. (eeee mushy, not in our tradition to do it but anyway, i love you mum. you are the greatest. and i want to continue to see you in heaven.)

however, there are many in this world who have failed to understand servanthood. most of them even see servanthood as a sign of weakness because to serve is to obey every given authority, whether you like it or not.

i disagree. in fact it is the opposite. i have come to realise that people who are insecure are the ones who refuse to serve. because they want people to constantly see them as someone great. someone who is influential. someone who is powerful. so in attempt to gain more power,instead of serving, they talk about how great they will be, they grumble about the way things are, they criticise that it is is bad because......, everything instead of taking up the job.

now, i think, as what Jesus think, people who serve are the ones who know who they are, where they are coming from and what they are doing. there is no need to show because they know. and all the time, people see it through their services.

so i ask you to humble yourself and start serving. yes, throw away your pride and serve. when we serve we start thinking about others and what we can do to make him happy. it is only then will people see you in different light. do not be the empty vessel that keeps on irritating people but be sure of yourself for shallow water runs deep.

oh finally serve with love, not black faces!

basically i am sharing my ideas on the 2 facades design of the dormitories. heard that it is kind of constantly rejected because of some reasons. they wanted to see more than sketches, they want to see mock models. sigh i am worst at model making, especially presenting ideas through model. i guess this is a chance for me to practice! at least i am now prepared, i hope. whatever it is, i hope i can contribute, but me only a year 3 student, i try my best.





message from the Holy Spirit,

God is angry and displeased over the stubborness of those whom He love because His love was rejected repeatedly. He loves you so much that He sent down His only son, Jesus, to die for your sin so that you may return to Him. What more can you ask for. miracles? for those of you who have seen miracles, have not you been convinced that He exists? why then does your heart harden? in this world nothing comes free , not even you, for you are bought at a price, but God wants nothing from you but to go back to Him. Like any father, He will throw a feast, He will lay the tables and He will rejoice over your return!

To the hard hearted, harden your heart no more, let it all go, forgive others so that you may live. why are you so against your own body, why are you so against your own self. there is no one but you and your stubborness can kill. accept Jesus into your life now. embrace his love and be angry no more.

To the broken hearted, grieve no more, wash yourself and walk in righteousness of the Lord. give yourself no more self pity for it is only you who will pity yourself. break out from the darkness, learn to forgive, learn to love, even those who have grieved you. it will then prove the magnitude of your heart. allow Him mend your heart.

To the suicidal, do not even go to think in that direction. receive Him into your life so that you can be told of the purpose in your life. stop being a paranoid, start getting a life, much time have been wasted. many things can be done. there is nothing to loose but everything to gain. get a life, from Jesus Christ

To all, do not wait to see or think you have a long time. if you are considering, why don't you do it now, so that we can rejoice in heaven. our Father is waiting. it is funny how people always rush to get things that are free but free salvation, hesitation arises. you do not have to pay a single cent because it is about God's love. there is no amount or deed you can do to buy you into heaven. everything is simple, nothing is too complicated. Don't you guys get it, there must be a reason why we are so eager to get people saved, because we have received Him and experience it for ourselves. heaven is real and so is this whole business. it is about mending the broken relationship with Him, it is about HIS LOVE. have no fear but faith!

it is a place which brings back fond memories of korea, the past and the old. the pavement which we walked on was once a river, now covered with black bricks, a traditional korean building material.

somehow that day, the 10 of us started to take artistic photos. like this, at random. taking people instead of buildings.

perhaps insadong is about human activities, the new and the old.

how many cameras can you find in the photo taken in samziegil? apparently this is the most popular building along the street because of its architecture. the owner decided to use architecture as a selling point to lure visitors like us, not just to visit and take photos but to spend money!

ting ting being approached by korean christians who want to share the gospel with her. over here in korea, the christian faith is strong. it is very common to be approached to be asked to hear the gospel and to be prayed for.
